I conduct civil and family court mediations primarily in the Dane County, Dodge County , Columbia County, Sauk County, Jefferson County and Green Lake County area. I do not charge for travel time within this area.

I was invited to work for then Chief Justice Abrahamson as her Executive Assistant. I accepted that position on a half-time basis, doing special projects to try and improve Wisconsin law/ legal practice. In this capacity I helped to establish Wisconsin WINGS (working Interdisciplinary network of guardianship stakeholders). The group is still going, with representatives of about 25 agencies including AARP, Disability Rights Wisconsin, Greater Wisconsin Agency for Aging Resources, Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups, the courts, the Social Security Admin., etc. My position with the CJ terminated when the Chief Justice lost her status as the Chief Justice. However, I have continued as the Chair of WINGS on a volunteer basis since.

I worked as a Dodge County Circuit Court Judge for 24 years, following 14 years of general private practice. As a judge I handled every case type and during most years ran a court of general jurisdiction (including felonies, misdemeanors, civil, small claims, traffic, divorce, probate, juvenile, mental commitments....you name it!). I presided over nearly 200 jury trials. I attended judicial education programs for 24 years, including a one week class on mediation. I also attended Wis. State Bar seminars on mediation. I retired on August 1st, 2013

Worked 14 years in private law practice in and around Dodge County Wisconsin. Experience included family law, collections, personal injury, administrative law, real estate, wills and probate, etc. Experience included over 30 jury trials and numerous administrative and court hearings. Was managing partner for the last 8 years.
