Our customers include Shopify, Affirm, Brex, Plaid, Mercury, Divvy, Rippling, Gusto, and others.Based in San Francisco, CA, Middesk is backed by Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, and Y Combinator.- As first talent hire, initiate the function from scratch including adding an additional four individuals including recruiters, sourcers, and recruiting coordinators whom I scouted personally.- Led the efforts to double the company in size from 50 to 100 employees, while maintaining a focus on interviewer calibration and candidate experience resulting in the hiring of highly-sought-after software talent across technical and non-technical domains.- Coach and mentor not only 4 direct reports, but entire company on best practices as it relates to interview processes, recruitment data, and DEI practices while remaining open to all kinds of feedback and constantly iterating.- Ideated and lead comprehensive interviewer training to 60+ individuals ranging from the executive level to the individual contributor level resulting in increased adherence to interviewing best practices. Measured efficacy via internal survey and saw evidence of improved candidate experience via a previously rolled out candidate survey.- Harnessed cutting-edge ATS software Ashby in order to define, standardize, document, and oversee all recruiting activities. Took a highly customized approach to make the most out of Ashby's advanced data analytics capabilities allowing for regular reporting and progress tracking.- Owned and oversaw talent related budget involving both tools and human capital.
