My current position with the City of Shakopee is with the Planning and Development Department as a Planner where I perform general responsibilities including but not limited to; answering general and specific inquiries, plan review, performing GIS and Drone2Map technical functions to process and manage data, and coordinate MN GreenStep City activities. I previously served the City of Blaine (WA) as a Planner and Code Enforcement Officer and am a former AmeriCorps member who served the Minnesota GreenCrops via the City of Warren in Warren, MN. My focus was energy conservation and air quality; I was responsible for coordinating citywide energy audits with the use of unmanned aerial systems to collect thermal imaging data to communicate to city residents areas of improvement. Other responsibilities included benchmarking public buildings’ utility data through B3, developing a grid to prioritize scans, and engaging with various stakeholders, committees, and organizations within the community to develop/implement projects and fulfill grant funding applications.
