I have 25 years experience in currency management and over 30 years in Institutional Investment Management. Started my career in 1985 in the international equity group of J P Morgan Investment Management London, where I was responsible for the creation of a multi currency operating platform dedicated to the management of FX exposures for the firm's global equity and balanced business. I subsequently moved to the dedicated Currency Overlay group within J P Morgan IM where I held various senior roles including client portfolio manager and COO. I have extensive working knowledge of multi currency end-to-end STP infrastructure and system architectures, designed to eliminate most aspects of operational risk. From 2004, as an exclusive consultant for 8+ years, I worked with specialist currency manager OAM (part of BNP Paribas Investment Partners) to spearhead business development and provide expertise for the firm’s marketing and sales efforts worldwide. Most recently I have been a Director and Head of Institutional Currency Managment Services at The ECU Group. Throughout my career I have successfully raised significant assets across all global regions in the pension, insurance, sovereign wealth and public sectors (superannuation and state funds as well as UK local authorities), for passive (including single and multi-currency share class hedging), active and pure alpha products. I am currently finalising The Pensions Regulator’s Trustee programme with a view to providing expert knowledge as an Independent Trustee and continue to act as a consultant.
