This work included the development of the College’s Vision for Learning and Andrew fostered an approach to… Show more As the Assistant Principal (Learning) Andrew was responsible for overseeing all areas of learning and teaching at Marcellin as well as a number of major change initiatives and key strategic projects aimed at overall school improvement.During his tenure as the Assistant Principal (Learning) there was a strong focus on redesigning the learning and teaching program at Marcellin. This work included the development of the College’s Vision for Learning and Andrew fostered an approach to leading learning within the Learning and Teaching Team that aimed to be bold and transformational in exploring new pedagogical models for learning and teaching to deliver a holistic curriculum based on best practice and research. This resulted in the introduction of over twenty new subjects across Years 7 and 10; all with the aim to further engage students with their learning as well as providing authentic learning experiences focused on developing the skills necessary for young people to succeed in a globalised environment. These initiatives and the work undertaken in recent years has seen a shift in student learning at Marcellin and through his leadership there has been a greater understanding of the importance in developing a strategic approach to overall school improvement.
