Research: I am currently conducting in-depth research within library databases, peer-reviewed journals, and special collections. Writing: I am currently writing a book-length dissertation on contemporary adaptations of Victorian children's literature.

Teaching: I teach 3 courses a year that include first-year college writing and introduction to literature in online, face-to-face, and hybrid modalities. Curriculum Development: I create syllabi, assessments, and assignments that meet the learning outcomes for the university. Time Management & Organization: I analyze student writing and provide feedback on 200+ papers per semester within a limited time frame.Publishing: I have published two academic papers, "Narrative Closure in Kipling's The Jungle Play," in Texas Studies of Literature and Language (Winter 2020) and "English Majors in the Writing Center," in Peer Review (2019).

I provided graduate students with feedback and direction on their written work, including dissertations, theses, journal articles, literature reviews, bibliographies, resumes, CVs, abstracts, conference and grant proposals, and essays.

Teaching: I taught 5-6 courses a year, including composition and literature. Curriculum Development: I created syllabi, assignments, and assessments for multiple classes and grade levels for my own classes and for the school-wide curriculum. Time Management & Organization: I graded papers, provided feedback, prepared lesson plans, met with students and parents, and participated in the school's committees and organizations.

Teaching: I taught composition courses, social sciences writing, and humanities writing. Tutoring: I worked as a faculty tutor at the campus writing center, where I worked with students and mentored other tutors.

Experience: I have worked with Hollywood producers on films projects, wrote and directed a documentary, and worked as Script Reader for the Gersh Agency. Awards: 2014 Young & Hungry Writers honoree, 2014 Launch Pad TV Pilot Competition Semifinalist, and 2011 Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship Semifinalist.

Teaching: I taught classes on screenwriting and led a campus-wide screenwriting workshop.

Screenwriting: I wrote Swahili Lessons, which was produced by BYU-TV and received a Rocky Mountain Emmy nominationDirecting: I directed a documentary, Remembered: The Cape Verde Islands, which aired on BYU-TV; I also wrote and edited the Hezekiah Thatcher episode for the LDS Lives series.

Teaching: I taught employment workshops and maintained an employment center in Portuguese in Cape Verde, West Africa.
