I’m passionate about helping people make informed choices by guiding them to understand their options. With a background as a clinical therapist and now a data science professional, I empower clients to leverage data to make decisions that may have previously eluded them.After completing the Google Data Analytics Professional Certification, I honed my analytical skills as a CARES Coordinator and therapist in Prevention Services at NC State University. There, I played a pivotal role in enhancing data management and reporting systems by automating data wrangling and visualization processes using R with tidyr, stringr, and ggplot2 packages. As the chair of the Assessment Committee, I collaborated with various departmental teams to establish sustainable data governance practices, resulting in Prevention Services receiving The Excellence in Assessment Award during the 2021-2022 assessment cycle.My success in analytics within Prevention Services led to a consulting opportunity with NC State's Counseling Center, where I contributed my technical writing and data visualization expertise to their annual report. This experience bridged my interests in mental health, social advocacy, and data science, ultimately motivating me to pursue a Master of Science in Analytics from NC State's Institute for Advanced Analytics.Today, as a graduate of the IAA and a research data scientist at RTI International, I’m excited to apply my skills in statistical modeling, programming, and data-driven storytelling to tackle complex challenges and generate actionable insights. At RTI, I am part of a dynamic team that uses data to drive impactful research and inform policy decisions that make a difference in communities and industries worldwide.When I'm not slicing, dicing, and grouping data, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, trying to perfect my buttermilk biscuit, chocolate chip salted caramel pretzel cookie, or pizza dough recipes.
