Undergraduate Research AssistantUniversity Of Pennsylvania May 2019 - Aug 2021Philadelphia, Pa, UsFocused on reducing FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) Verilog to Routing compile time. Added basic DSP mapping support to Symbiflow Arch Defs & Yosys. Also optimized VPR Packing, Placing, and Routing for low mapping times by running experiments with different parameters and reducing routing resource read/write times. -
Google Summer Of Code ParticipantSymbiflow Jun 2020 - Aug 2020• Added support for FPGA partial reconfiguration regions in SymbiFlow for Xilinx 7 series devices • Contributed to a complex open source project with 30+ active contributors • Added features such as generated, stacked synthetic IO tiles to support more general partial reconfiguration regions • Developed overlay architecture generation to match up with multiple contained partial reconfiguration regions • Uses of this work include separate compilation to allowing live reconfiguration of a region of the FPGA
