I am responsible for making multi drop collections and deliveries within the Pallet Network throughout Central Scotland. This includes securing the load of the vehicle according to regulations and planning my route effectively to maximise my efficiency. I also spend time dealing with customers face to face and over the phone while also keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations. I also attend regular training sessions.

Driving an 18T company vehicle for delivering appliances for Euronics using a sack barrow and a tail-lift. Safely driving and manoeuvring a Rigid Class 2 vehicle following laws, regulations and the highway code. Maintaining excellent customer satisfaction by delivering friendly, polite and helpful service when delivering. Conducting safety inspections on vehicles daily, following company safety procedures.

Undertaking various types of removal work as part of a 2 man team. Driving company vehicle for delivering and picking up of customers possessions. Packing my loads for optimum usage of space and safe weight distribution. Safely driving and manoeuvring a Rigid Class 2 vehicle following laws, regulations and the highway code. Maintaining excellent customer satisfaction by delivering friendly, polite and helpful service when delivering and collecting. Compiling accurate detailed inventories when collecting goods from customers, ensuring accuracy to minimise frivolous insurance claims. Conducting safety inspections on vehicles daily, following company safety procedures.

Drove Company vehicles delivering clean cages and bags of various types of linen and picking up used linen for cleaning and reuse using a tail-lift. Planning my journey using various methods to find the most efficient route to complete my day. Liaising with customers to sort any issues before escalation is required.

Fresh Assembly is all about picking cases of product from pallets into cages which represent each store whilst ensuring the product goes to stores that require the stock accurately and to the required performance level. Goods-In Unloading requries the unloading of pallets and merchandising units and ensuring everything is scanned in correctly and any discrepancies are noted to the Gridwalker. Goods-in Gridwalking deals with fixing mistakes made by assemblers and suppliers and scanning in missed products and requires an excellent eye for detail. There is also a great deal of investigation regarding order inaccuracies and paperwork errors which involves liaising with Goods-in clerks to ensure suppliers are charged accordingly. Loading is filling outgoing HGV lorries with cages and merchandising units. There is sometimes a necessity to go searching for missing cages to ensure all cages are sent to store and that there are no lost sales.
