About Andrew Case

Andrew Case (Case Sport) has been providing a personal guide service organising bird hunting, shooting and fishing holidays in south west Scotland since 1988. He has recently taken on the role as ‘Shooting Concierge’ at the luxury Trump Turnberry Resort providing sporting packages for individuals and groups wishing to experience the exhilaration of country sports at its finest in this unique and magnificently picturesque corner of Scotland. Andrew is well known in the shooting industry in southern Scotland and works closely with many local estates arranging bespoke shooting trips for clients from the UK, the US, Canada and France as well as spending time in the US instructing and guiding for Mike Kuchera’ s Guide Services based in Mitchell, South Dakota.Andrew is a qualified shooting coach with the Association of Professional Shooting Instructors (A.P.S.I). In 2011 he developed a first class shooting facility at Forrest Estate, St John’s Town of Dalry providing access and education to a whole range of country sports, the first and only venue in the UK designed specifically for educational purposes. The shooting ground is also rated as one of the finest sporting clay grounds in Scotland.

    Situated in the picturesque village of St. John's Town of Dalry, half way along the western section of the Southern Upland Way in Dumfries & Galloway, The Clachan Inn was purchased in 1999 following a two year closure and completely refurbished and marketed as a Hunting, Shooting and Fishing destination pub. This extremely popular village inn quickly became extremely popular and gained a great reputation. Unfortunately we sold the Clachan in 2003 to Punch Taverns – perhaps our biggest mistake!

    The Urr Valley Hotel was acquired and refurbished offering 19 bedrooms and function facilities for up 240 guests. Shooting played a large part of the operation increasing occupancy in the winter months. The wedding business was perhaps the largest revenue stream but not the business focus and direction Andrew wanted to pursue.
