In collaboration with Microsoft's CELA department, I had the opportunity to take on a significant challenge during my internship. Our project focused on effectively managing extensive trademark data, specifically addressing the issue of redundant filings within the European Union Trade Mark (EUTM) system and in various non-EU countries. As part of the CELA team responsible for trademark oversight, we encountered inefficiencies related to duplicate filings, particularly noticeable during renewal periods.In response to this challenge, I played a key role in implementing a groundbreaking system that utilized prompt engineering and GPT technology to automate and streamline the labor-intensive process. The introduction of this innovative solution resulted in a significant reduction in the reliance on manual data processing, effectively lightening the workload for the CELA team. The success of our project not only optimized the management of trademark data but also set a remarkable precedent for integrating AI applications within legal affairs.The impact of our approach extends beyond immediate efficiency gains.
