Hi, I'm Andrew Chartrand, a Bachelor of Industrial Design graduate from Humber College. Growing up I was very hand on. I worked on projects with my Dad and Grandfather. When I was young my tasks in these projects were relatively simple; grabbing properly sized tools, reading measurements... As I got older tasks became more complicated and I continually gained more skills until finally I had enough to start projects of my own.In highschool I took a Tech Design course. This is where I was first introduced to Computer Aided Design. The course was largely architectural but still taught me the basics of model making and prototyping, one of my favourite parts of the design process."Industrial design is the perfect clashing point between aesthetics and functionality." - Andrew ChartrandI truly stumbled upon Humber's ID program. I was in search of a degree that would both allow me to use my knowledge of hands on skills as well as my creativity. I can't wait to gain more experience and to display the skills I have received in my degree!
