About Andrew Chodes
A May 2024 graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism, I currently work as a sports reporter at the Index-Journal, located in Greenwood, South Carolina. Covering a wide range of sports, from high school football to baseball, I bring a unique perspective and strong work ethic to the newsroom everyday.While in college, I served as the Top Deputy Editor for Testudo Times, one of Maryland's top student-run publications. I have extensive experience covering sports dating back to high school, notably covering four different Maryland teams in my time at Maryland. During the summer of my junior year, I completed two internships -- with the Long Island Press and LIU's athletic department, respectively.You can follow much of my coverage on X @AndrewChodes_.
