I've always had a fascination with technology. I remember my amazement when I was just a young child and my father signed us up for dial up internet; seemingly the entire world opened up. I loved exploring all the nuances of computers and the internet, and tried to discover all the seemingly limitless capabilities that they offered.In elementary school I saw a classmate making animations with Macromedia Flash; I was blown away by how he could use a software program to materialize his whimsical ideas onto a computer screen, and of course I had to ask him to teach me. Shortly after getting started with animating I learned that I could use coding to make the animations interactive, and I created my first game at 12 years of age.This was only the start of a lifelong interest in software development. I attended Mohawk College for an advanced diploma and graduated with honours in 2012. I found work with a small yet growing company, really feeling like my work contributed to a larger picture. I faced personal issues during my last semester of schooling that required me to shift focus from career growth towards self care, and I spent the following years working on myself while doing customer service positions for a few different companies.I spent those years growing as a person, and I must say I'm proud of who I've become today. I now have a house with my beautiful fiancée, our (potentially too many) four legged friends, and now I've got my sights set on claiming employment with what's always been my passion. I'm now in my last semester at Mohawk College working towards a new diploma; refamiliarizing myself with the content and learning some of the many developments that came to light over the years. I'm looking forward towards what's sure to be great tidings to come!
