CurrentCurrently working in 3rd line Support for Systems based at the Northgate Data Centers located in Woking and the City supporting around 2500 windows systems on both physical and VM platforms.Responsible for • Building Physical and Virtual systems.• Setup and manage backups and manage all hardware infrastructure used for the backup process from system design, build, installation and support.• Manage HP Data Protector Backup Infrastructure. Build and Configure additional Backup resources including Brocade switches and complete range of HP MSL Tape Libraries and HP StoreOnce backup Appliance Servers• Supporting the infrastructure, managing Antivirus, Security Patching and monitoring.• Setup and configure Data Protector server/client and tape libraries• Monitor daily backup activity and reporting, to pro-actively avoid issues• Modify and optimize backup schedules• Improve automation and productivity of backups through scripting enhancements• Troubleshoot and resolve missed and failed backups• Interface with vendors for escalation of issues• Processing of tapes for offsite storage• Update Data Protector Spec and procedures• Solving complicated Hardware cases and Liaising with Hardware Vendor/HPRC support• Advanced trouble shooting skills and identify the severity of the issue, Ability to Resolving issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction and Prepare RCA• Provide operational support on a 24x7 rotation basis.• Extensive Disaster Recovery experience managing up to 20 customer tests per year.TrainingDell Compellent Storage Center Administration and Advanced ManagementNetApp Data ONTAP 7-Mode FundamentalsSymantec Vault Administration.Security Clearance.NPPV L3 +SC +Met Check (valid until 14/09/2016)MOD Security Clearance up to Secret level (valid until 10/11/2021)
