Own and manage several private rental properties

I created Edge Swim School because of my love of sport and I want to inspire future generations so they have the skills and confidence to enjoy sport as much as I do.With the support of a dedicated team, we offer swimming lessons for both children from 3 ½ years of age, and adults throughout Surrey, and Hampshire.

I trained at the highly respected London School of Sports Massage (LSSM), a year of intensive study of anatomy and physiology as well as massage and advanced soft tissue techniques culminating in a level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy, one of the highest levels of clinical massage therapy available in the UK. Being a long term sports fanatic, and still regularly play hockey, waterski, snowboard and mountain bike. I believe that sport and being physically active, whether that be through sport, dance or work is really important for our mental and physical well being. I have seen from personal experience and from friends and family the huge impact that massage therapy can have - allowing individuals to keep their body functioning at its optimal level, whether they are 25 or 85! For years I experienced severe pain in my groin and back, sometimes this pain was so severe it stopped me from doing the activities that I love - which can be soul destroying. I have seen the same with friends and family who post-operatively have become depressed because of the loss of mobility. Having visited several osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists I was frustrated as I experienced only temporary relief. I then met a talented and inspirational massage therapist (who I still see to this day and who has tutored me throughout my journey). His ongoing support, massage therapy and education - has shown me not only how to look after myself, how to strengthen and maintain full body function but he inspired me to make this my career. I would like to help people that are experiencing unnecessary pain or debilitation and allow them to reach their full physical potential again.

My key responsibly within Southborough High School (a ‘Good’ school, Ofsted, December 2013) were as HoY and teacher of PE (Key Stages 3-5). Other responsibilities included being a key member of the school taskforce for raising attainment and progress (with a heightened focus being placed on supporting key groups/students with differing abilities) and teacher of Geography at KS3.
