Led the development of an innovative valved-mouthpiece (AfriVave) for an economically viable asthma spacer (AfriSpacer), aimed at expanding accessibility for asthma and COVID-19 patients in low-income regions. Oversaw the entire project lifecycle from initial concept to manufacturing, encompassing design, regulatory compliance, prototyping, manufacturing, and patenting. Collaborated closely with specialist clinicians for design validation and approval.Engineered mechanical solutions and devised regulatory testing equipment and protocols for the ZiBiPen auto injector device, aligning with ISO 11608-1:2014 standards.Contributed to user-centered design initiatives through participation in design thinking and conceptualisation for the ZiBiPen and Easy Squeezy projects.Played a pivotal role in the Afrispacer project in collaboration with the Allergy Foundation of South Africa. Designed, built and implemented equipment enhancements to significantly boost post-processing capabilities for bottle spacers, resulting in a remarkable 1400% increase in production capacity, with 30,000 units processed within two days.

Tutored Solids II, Dynamics and Design II courses assisting with tutorials, practicals, invigilation and examination of students.

Designed and built a high-speed camera mounting rig for a blast pendulum. Was solely responsible for this project from the design through to the build and implementation phase.Involved in the testing of blast loaded amour plates with the Australian Defence Force where the mounting rig was used.

Part time work assisting with various research projects including: -Research assistant, conducting blast loading experiments.-Partial decommission of old sled impact tester used for research at BISRU, followed by redesign and construction of the improved design. -Constructed double-rail frame to conduct research using split-Hopkinson bars.
