Each year, billions of packages are delivered to doorsteps globally, underscoring the pivotal role of the material handling industry in facilitating this sophisticated logistical operation.Distribution Centers are the life force behind this fruitful business, and I believe packages and automated conveyor systems in these buildings are the blood and veins behind this success. Companies like Amazon utilize my skillset to design these systems in a fast and cost-effective manner to meet industry needs in this constantly evolving economy.As a Mechanical Engineer (ME), I design using modelling a software to create a computer representation of a project starting from conception and ending with installation completion. My customer and I work together to ensure a prompt and lucrative solution to any problems that occur during this process, and our combined end goal of creating a profitable end product is always at the forefront. Examples of conflicts that require collaboration with my customer include:• Building features restricting conveyor path and access• Meeting proposed product rates needed in all areas• Promptly replacing damaged parts and assemblies• Integrating third party materials into the overall designThese are only a few of the many tasks I perform regularly to ensure customer satisfaction.I am seven years into this rewarding career that I have a strong passion for. In that time I have accumulated a significant set of design skills across a vast number of modelling softwares. I consider myself skilled and proficient in multiple AutoCAD and SolidWorks products, and I have experience and familiarity with Solid Edge, Configura CET Designer, Revit, and Maestro.From a young age I have found that I enjoy solving problems, and I feel so rewarded to pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering where I this for a living. I am currently attaining my MBA at the University of Florida because a goal of mine is to manage a team of engineers at a large corporation and create major positive change.
