With my partner, Claire Fox, I've organized dozens of independent exhibitions in galleries and alternative spaces, including art fairs in Miami and New York. Most recently, we've participated in an art festival in Akumal, Mexico.I've been fortunate enough to visit Beijing and Oaxaca, and work with artists there. I represented the United States at the 2013 He Shun County Arts Festival in rural Shanxi. Art promotes cultural understanding and builds bridges. Freelance preparator, rotating between several museums & galleries as our schedules allowed.* I helped the Skirball with their superb Roy Lichtenstein show, which ran through 2017.* At the UCLA Hammer Museum, I helped turn over special exhibitions including Still Life With Fish, Look Before You Leap: Black Mountain College, Made in LA: The Hammer Biennial, and Jimmie Durham.* At The Huntington Library, Art Galleries and Botanical Gardens, I helped install and de-install exhibitions of artwork, manuscripts, documents, etc. for the Library Division and the Art Division. I made models, plans, maquettes, and more to assist curators in designing temporary exhibitions.I helped rotate and change-out manuscripts and archival materials to maintain preservation standards, and also to access items for scholars to use.* As a regular preparator at Luis de Jesus Gallery in Culver City, I rotated fifteen shows of contemporary art, including painting, drawing video, installation, and new media.

I've taught classes and workshops for all ages, including a drop-in watercolor station at The Clark and an "instant sculpture" course for Williams College staff and faculty.

At The Clark, I assisted the curatorial staff during The Clark's expansion project. I made scale models of existing buildings and the new Clark Center, now completed and open to the public. I made scale mock-ups of all artworks in The Clark collection, and all artworks coming to the museum for special exhibitions, and completed a digital library of same. I made actual-size mock-ups of complex sculptures, various paintings, decorative arts objects, display cases, exterior signage, and other objects as needed to assist curators, designers, and engineers in the realization of the new Clark.

I helped Darren Waterston build "Filthy Lucre", a room-sized installation which essentially ran Whistler's "Peacock Room" through a filter. The piece involved construction, finish carpentry, and elaborate painting, all of which I helped with, as well as sound, light, and other elements that involved more than a dozen people. It was a well-received travelling exhibition and one of the most rewarding museum projects I've worked on.

I've taught classes, camps, and workshops to students of all ages. Aside from all the services a good community arts center normally offers, Vermont Arts Exchange provides contract studio arts education to a variety of underserved populations. Through them, I taught studio art to patients at the dementia ward of the Vermont Veterans' Home, residents at United Counseling Services, and students of Bennington School, Inc, a residential treatment center for adolescents who have experienced complex developmental trauma.

As Operations Manager at the Los Angeles galleries of Bonhams, an international auction house, I:* Managed and supervised a crew of six regular and numerous on-call art handlers, organizing previews of fine art, antiques, rugs & carpets, jewelry, etc.* Managed shipping and receiving.* Handled facilities and physical plant issues.* Handled all ordinary IT issues for the Los Angeles office.

At ProPack, I Organized fine art logistics for museum, gallery, auction house, interior design, and celebrity clients. This job required a lot of client interface, along with office administration, warehouse management, and the occasional hands-on art move.

Served in the dual role of Registrar/Preparator for Christie's Beverly Hills galleries.Sadly, my tenure there was cut short when Christie's decided to reduce their footprint in Los Angeles, letting go more than half their staff.
