In this position, I led a push to design and implement a progressive, data-driven, and interdisciplinary science curriculum. In the classroom, I established a strong and cohesive environment based on consistency and mutual respect. This environment allowed for the frequent implementation of custom activities and laboratory assignments which provided greater depth of knowledge for students, including differentiated design for students with varied learning styles. Additionally, I aggressively sought and secured funding from Title I and Title II sources for the expansion of science professional development opportunities and the procurement of modern, effective, and relevant laboratory equipment.

My ultimate goal was to facilitate experiential, activity-based learning within a rigorous classroom environment. To this end, I designed an objective-based curriculum featuring lessons which engage and expand the natural curiosity of students. I also encouraged my students to ask questions about the world and to think critically about the choices that they make. These guiding principles, combined with a strong drive to establish and maintain strong parent-teacher relations, proved extremely successful in improving student outcomes.

My responsibilities included planning, shooting, and editing promotional videos which highlighted the fantastic programs and services available to students with disabilities.

I helped students with their technical issues including software and hardware support as well as password resets and account troubleshooting.
