It is responsible for overseeing the governance, compliance and financial administration of Young Mining Professionals Perth Inc. In this role, the Chair is also responsible for setting the and executing the strategic objectives of the organisation with the support of the broader committee.

Andrew is responsible for the Growth and Performance of MEC Mining's Western Region. He manages a multi-disciplinary technical team comprising of Geological, Geotechnical and Mining Engineering Consultants working within the Exploration, Open Pit and Underground sectors.

Andrew is responsible for spearheading the growth into Western Australia of one of Australia’s leading mining consultancies. Andrew manages the day to day of the Western Australian business operations by developing client relationships, mentoring and growing the WA team, drawing on his technical expertise to lead projects, and expanding the success of the MEC brand's capability of offerings in this geographical sector. Andrew manages a team of Principal to Graduate Mining Engineers and ensures the success of the P&L for MEC WA.

As the Manager of Strategy, Brand and Sales, Andrew is responsible for the medium to long term strategic direction and growth of MEC Mining.With previous experience in business development, management, and mining engineering he delivers the expertise required to cultivate and implement innovative strategies to transform the MEC Mining brand. Andrew’s passion for high quality mining engineering combined with his proven success in redefining and elevating brand strategies, enables him to confidently engage ethos, pathos, logos in MEC Mining brand initiatives. He leads the strategic planning process to identify and build opportunities to evolve the MEC Mining reputation. With a keen focus on our customers, Andrew informs the brand and sales position needed to leverage customer and market insights.Through Andrew’s expert guidance and execution of key projects, MEC Mining is enabled to achieve its strategic objectives, operating culture, and overall business vision. Andrew mentors and provides high level advice to the operational team in areas of which he is a subject matter expert.

In his role as Business Development Coordinator he aims to ensure the MEC brand is recognised as a global industry leader in Mining Engineering Consultancy.
