Educated at the University of Greenwich, Andrew achieved a BA (Hons) Degree in Garden Design and a Post Graduate Diploma in Adult Education, he went on to become Assistant Landscape Architect with the White Dutton Partnership. He then joined John Brookes as his Associate Designer, and was also involved in tutoring his students. Andrew works in his own practice and his commissions include gardens ranging from the transformation of a country estate in Devon, through refurbishments to an estate in Connecticut, a property in Grenada and an estancia and polo stud on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.His background as an educator started with the John Brookes Masterclasses, after which he spent five years at Merrist Wood College developing the Garden Design School’s Higher Education programmes. He has acted as external verifier for the KLC garden students and lectured on a regular basis at Barzi Casares in Buenos Aires. Andrew took over as Director of the Garden Design Faculty at Inchbald in 2006 and became a full member of The Society of Garden Designers in 2007.He has also worked at the Chelsea Flower Show and his Conceptual Garden was selected for Exhibition at the Hampton Court Flower Show in 2006. He is a regular contributor to magazines and learned journals.More recently Andrew has become an RHS show gardens judge.
