Dorset Care Records – The Dorset Care Record is an electronic record linking health and social care information from Dorset General Practices (doctors’ surgeries) to improve care in Dorset. I designed and produced the script through the use of SQL and SSRS, required to configure the Borough of Poole’s Enterprise-Wide-Master Patient Index file and also created the delta script that will be responsible for the generation of data that will be uploaded daily to the Dorset Care Record when there is a change in a client’s record. I was responsible for the mapping of data and with partners from Health, other Local Authorities and the contracted provider ensuring the eventual information displayed will meet the required goals of the Dorset Care Record. I carried out both unit and functional testing of the script. In response to the findings of the 2017 Ofsted inspection, the Borough of Poole produced an implementation plan in response. As a part of that plan I have been tasked with the creation of a set of report that enable the Borough to track the progress of Looked After Children with the aim of achieving permanency; along with the creation of a suite of tracker reports that will enable individual staff members of Social Care teams meet such statutory requirements as reviews, visits etc.
