Lead data scientist and solution architect for a 12 month project at CIBC. Responsible for design and delivery of a proprietary machine learning advanced trade surveillance solution using Agile. Delivered full project following successful completion of proof of concept.❏ Role involved extensive collaboration between technology and trading compliance divisions. My team comprises a BI Architect, Business Analyst, Compliance Analyst and two developers.❏ Wider team included two CIBC Compliance Officers and an additional Data Scientist. Bi-weekly meetings with stakeholders: Head of Regulatory Reporting, VP Capital Markets Compliance and Director of Enterprise Analytics. ❏ Areas of responsibility included accountability for solution design, direction of team members on a day-to-day basis, design review, presentation of results to stakeholders. Also hands-on coding in R.Led review of capital markets trading compliance algorithms at Scotia Bank. Project was to assess effectiveness and optimize configuration. Designed major enhancements to Alithya’s Business Analytics for Trading Compliance product. Simulated trades and order data using statistical techniques.

Lead Data Scientist and Business Intelligence Architect. I designed BI, data warehouse and predictive analytics solutions. The role involved deploying teams of business analysts and developers to implement these solutions for Financial Services clients.

Managed a BI data integration team for Scarsin. Role involved architecting solutions using Scarsin’s SAAS proprietary i2e software and OLAP cubes. Full lifecycle encompassed requirement capture, design, build of solutions using MDX and visualization using dashboarding tools Power BI or Tableau. Also includes ETL execution for client data into an OLAP cube which is used to create enterprise wide forecasting models.

Brookfield Global Reloaction Services (1 year extended contract)Managed and delivered a data migration solution from Prudential’s R12 Oracle E-Business Suite following an acquisition by Brookfield. Designed and implemented an archive database in SQL Server to capture data from an Oracle EBS data model containing more than 5000 tables encompassing core financials modules GL, AP, AR and PA. Performed the extract, transform and load to the new data model guiding the DBA. Capgemini France (3 year extended contract) Senior Oracle ConsultantLed Oracle Projects upgrade and migration of two North American instances of Oracle E-Business Suite onto a global instance. Responsible for two full project lifecycles encompassing requirements analysis, solution design, configuration, acceptance testing, key user training and post go-live support. Designed and implemented a set of project costing reports using Cognos.
