As a lab assistant in WPI's Combustion Laboratory, I researched the burning of crude oil in ice cavities. More specifically, I studied the flame spread of crude oil and dodecane on a medium scale. For this project I designed and conducted various experiments to improve ignitability and flame spread of crude oil in room and icy temperature conditions with a water sublayer. Additionally, I used extensive equipment for experiments, data acquisition and analysis.

I used many power tools such as a sawzall, skill saw, table saw, cordless drill, chop saw, and a hammer drill. I also had to interact with many business officials in order to communicate the specific requirements they wanted for the job.

I mainly worked on the packaging side of the brewery. On this side, I worked on a canning line, heat shrink canning line and also kegged from brite tanks. Some of my other duties on the packaging side included cleaning the brewery, pulling orders, and delivering products to other buildings Aviator owned. I also spent some time on the brewing side of the building learning from the brewers as well as working with them a few times.

I worked with many different chemicals in order to make nanoparticles to treat many cancer cells. I used machines such as a microfluidizer, which decreases the size of the particles, and an HPLC machine in order to test the drug's presence in the particles. I also developed techniques to improve the production of platinum as well as lipidate it for better performance in the particle.
