Hack Oregon is a community-powered non-profit building civic data projects to promote engagement, awareness, and quality of life. Their Civic Platform in particular is focusing on "Making Public InformationPublic Knowledge." This year I am incredibly lucky to volunteer with the elections team. We have a unique project where instead of contributing to the Civic Platform, we are working with the Open and Accountable Election Committee in Portland, OR to build a production application that will enable the city to efficiently verify contributions to participating campaigns adhere to the new 6-to-1 campaign matching program requirements.
