The main objectives of the Wadzinski lab focus on our pipeline of nanobody/antibody isolation, purification, and characterization against a variety of key cell signaling proteins. I am also in charge of lab management duties (purchasing/inventory, safety management, and organization).

Bill Walsh Lab- Sought out and arranged a high-level internship at the Kolling Institute while enrolled as a full- time student at the University of Sydney- Task analysed research project to set goals for completion of project- Independently analyzed >1000 colorectal tumour samples prepared using the TMA method- Employed complex statistical techniques to analyse the connection between patient prognoses and TMA scores- Researched and composed a complex research report pertaining to my work in the lab. - Composed and delivered a presentation to my expert colleagues at the Bill Walsh Lab

● Learned and refined complex procedures to assay the function of membrane transport proteins, to purify membrane transport proteins, and to determine the structure of membrane transport proteins, work which lead to the publication of a methods paper● Formulated experimental plans based on results from previous experiments● Wrote and modified standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve experimenter proficiency and consistency● Troubleshot experiments using scientific hypotheses and logical reasoning to improve efficiency of experiments and improve the consistency of results● Developed a strong proposal for competitive internal grants● Composed and presented presentations at frequent lab meetings and at larger school symposiums● Synthesized existing scientific literature on membrane transport protein purification to write scientific abstracts, summaries, and experimental write-ups
