I write clean, performant software. Most recently at Gattaca Tech, I worked on building things that help companies find their customers - nothing fancy, just a scraper that ended up finding 10k+ leads. Before that, I studied CS at Michigan while running projects for my investment club, and working at Theia Analytics, and then Vector Insights. What interests me is the intersection of programming and real problems. I've found that the best solutions often come from questioning conventional approaches. For instance, we cut our test execution time by 67% not through complex optimizations, but by simply looking for repeated operations.I like building things from scratch. At Vector Insights, I worked with a small team of 3 to build complex apps from the ground up. There's something special about taking an idea from whiteboard to production, though it's humbling how often the simple solution turns out to be the right one.My background spans full-stack development, AI/ML, and data analytics, but I try not to get too caught up in specific technologies. Good engineering is more about clear thinking than knowing the latest framework.I'm particularly interested in projects where technology can make complex systems more accessible to users. Currently in New York, always happy to talk to people working on interesting problems. The best thing I've learned so far? That every significant project, from writing code to building a guardrail as an Eagle Scout, is really about understanding the problem deeply enough to see what others might have missed.
