Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia and incorporates The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Sydney Children's Hospital and the Bear Cottage Children's Hospice.I managed our entire portfolio of peer-to-peer fundraising events at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. My responsibility was to lead a team in generating income for equipment, staff positions and hospital services. This required me to collaborate with a number of different internal departments, including public relations, marketing and design to a variety of ward managers and clinicians. I've led the organisation's large-scale signature events from the initial concept, decision making on our marketing strategy and finally to the final event day proceedings. I established great working relationships with my colleagues, corporate sponsors, patient families and individual supporters.I demonstrated in this role to be a creative thinker, adaptable in changing circumstances and the ability to delegate whilst being flexible in attitude. I'm required to be extremely well organised with a deep understanding of fundraising practices in order to achieve predetermined targets.I pride myself on the results I delivered at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, achieving record-breaking revenue for our signature events; City2Surf ($520,000) and the Walk for Kids with Cancer ($415,000). I've also extensively developed our event program, managed our donor appreciation award nights and a number of internal hospital wide events.

The Realbuzz Group is a unique niche online publisher and retailer for healthy active living. They are most commonly known as the official online partner of the Virgin Money London Marathon and collaborate with major sporting events in the UK, including Tough Mudder and the adidas Half Marathon at Silverstone. I began as a Sales Executive at The Realbuzz Group, however after demonstrating my skills at acquiring new business I was quickly promoted to an Account Manager. My role encompassed meeting with clients on a regular basis to gain buy-in with our event portfolio and products, ascertain a marketing strategy and deliver them a great ROI. I was responsible for our major clients relationships including RSPCA, World Cancer Research and Parkinsons UK and was expected to grow these accounts whilst delivering exemplary levels of service. I worked extremely close with the clients throughout the process to deliver substantial peer-to-peer fundraising results. The key elements of my role are; to be creative when developing campaigns, ensure that our clients are effectively marketed and that the data we provide is being utilised and correctly implemented in their communications.I was further promoted by The Realbuzz Group and developed our business in Australia, moving to our Sydney HQ for 2 years having been sponsored by The Realbuzz Group to manage our overseas clients. My role involved a lot of travel across all states of Australia to meet with our event partnerships and participating clients. This also extended to overseas work in the United States and Asia (Kuala Lumpur & Singapore) to develop our client database in new markets. My position required me to work very closely with a number of different departments, including the events operations team, marketing department, designers and programmers. My main focus was to build lasting relationships with our event partnerships and charity clients.
