- Running the special committee set up by the European Parliament to focus on beating cancer.- Planning and delivering a programme of European Parliament hearings involving high-level speakers leading on cancer research, global health policy and international cooperation.- Examining research, prevention, diagnosis and screening, access to treatment and patient rights, as well as paediatric cancers, rare cancers and the interplay between cancer and COVID19.- Drafting and negotiating the final report responding to Europe’s Beating Cancer Action Plan.- Influencing the European Commission, European governments and the public debate on cancer.

- Responsible for the S&D Group for health policy, including access to medicines, antimicrobial resistance, vaccination, clinical trials, medical devices, health technology assessments, paediatric medicine, tobacco products, food information, EU4Health, Farm to Fork, COVID-19 and the proposal for a European Health Union.- Responsible for some key climate change legislation including the Effort Sharing Regulation, the Emissions Trading Scheme, the Energy Efficiency Directive, Sustainable Investment and the Green Deal.- EU-UK relationship regarding environment and health. - Trained and appointed as a confidential counsellor.

- Running a scientific board co-chaired by renowned economists Joseph Stiglitz and Jean Paul Fitoussi. - Organising conferences with speakers including Mariana Mazzucato and Thomas Piketty.- Editing and publishing a quarterly journal.

- Head of Glenis Willmott's Brussels office and advising on public health, food and environmental policy. - I led technical negotiations on the Clinical Trials Regulation, for which Glenis Willmott was the rapporteur, and worked closely on a number of other files including medical devices, food information, tobacco products and health claims.
