QA/QC Mechanical SpecialistReporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, responsibilities are inclusive but not limited to:• Responsible for the management of maintenance systems associated with high performing maintenance organizations (Root Cause Analysis, Reliability-Centred Maintenance, etc.) while focusing on maximum plant capacity, while minimising cost.• Check the drawings and documents used on site for approvals and compliance with operational requirements.• Ensure that all works are carried out as per the approved Best practices, SOP’s and drawings.• Evaluates discrepancies and recommends proper courses of action. • Develop and ensure compliance of Plant and equipment registers. • Develop and review SOP to ensure mechanical safety and best practices are incorporated. • Mentor and train mechanical personnel as required to ensure standards are achieved. Mechanical Maintenance Staff and Safety• Assist Mechanical Superintendents and Supervisors with policy and procedure administration, planning, organizing, directing and follow-up of the work assignment.• Promotes plant safety performance through administration, enforcement of company and plant policy and procedure and training consistent with the objectives of Batutua Tembaga Raya and in compliance with relevant Indonesian regulations.Mechanical Troubleshooting• Accountable for providing short and medium-term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.• Ensures the smooth daily operation of the plant with minimal repetitive down time issues.Mechanical Project and Preventive Maintenance• Assists the Maintenance Planning Department in developing and managing the maintenance program using the ERP.• Extracts and analyses program data to ensure a constant state of continuous improvement.• Assist with continuous improvement and plant/equipment optimisation programs.

Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, responsibilities were inclusive of but not limited to: • Delivering expertise within long-term shutdown planning procedures, leading shutdowns for back end of the plant; • Scoping of work orders, planning shutdowns & overseeing the company CMMS - SAP; • Fostering and utilising close relationships with procurement, scheduling and execution teams;• Identifying scope of work for upcoming outages from SAP & EPD capital projects; • Ensuring all project & corrective work orders required for the shutdown are captured at the ‘Scope Challenge’ meeting (assigning appropriate shutdown revision numbers as required); • Scoping all corrective action (ZPM1) work order tasks to accurately reflect labour, material & equipment resources required to successfully complete the job safely & within outage timeframe;• Preparing all corrective action (ZPM1) work packs to ensure safety & quality is maintained to a high standard during shutdown execution; • Reviewing & updating all system generated work orders (ZPM3) as well as PRT’s to ensure any lessons captured from last shutdown are implemented; • Identifying any SIMOPs to ensure they were captured within the outage schedule; • Revising final scope of work, ensuring stakeholders sign off on work packs; • Liaising with site materials coordinator to ensure all required materials have been ordered & expedited to site (especially long lead time items); • Assisting site LTO planning coordinator to determine shutdown labour requirements and the split requirements between NML and contractor personnel; &• Collating outage data for close out meetings.

Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Manager, responsibilities were inclusive of but not limited to: • Leading a team of two superintendents & six supervisors within the mechanical maintenance team;• Mentoring national superintendent’s & supervisor’s, initiating development of their leadership skills; • Scoping large package works (especially for major shutdowns); • Ensuring all work management systems are followed correctly & executed to a high standard;• Providing technical input into weekly schedules; & • Providing technical support for superintendent’s & supervisors.

Reporting to the Process Plant Maintenance Manager, responsibilities were inclusive of but not limited to: • Leading, supervising & directing a team of sixty national & expat employees within the mechanical maintenance team;• Providing managerial support & technical guidance to national & expatriate supervisors; • Coordinating supervisory resources, ensuring weekly work plans are executed safely & with a high degree of compliance; • Maintaining clear communications between supervisory team & management; • Managing the national workforce’s training & technical development; • Mentoring both expat & national supervisor’s, facilitating ability to full fill individual roles to full potential; • Investigating all incidents within the department, acting in line with the company policies;• Using site CMMS (PRONTO) to maintain all up to date records for process plant equipment; • Liaising with all department’s onsite to ensure production targets are met &/or exceeded; • Developing standard operating procedures for the mechanical maintenance team; • Developing & reviewing new PM’s for the process plant; • Working back to back with the Mechanical Superintendent, ensuring all costs are maintained & controlled within the maintenance department’s budgets; • Reviewing work scopes, JSA’s & monthly cost reports as required; • Providing input into yearly OPEX, CAPEX & lab our budgets development; • Identifying training needs for the mechanical maintenance team; • Maintaining open & clear communication between operations & maintenance teams; • Stepping up in the role as Mechanical Superintendent as & when required; • DOA responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager whilst he is on R&R; • Attending daily management meetings & liaising with other department heads on work priorities; &• Working closely with the reliability team to ensure areas of the plant requiring improvement are attended to.

Reporting to the Backend Fixed Plant Superintendent, responsibilities were inclusive of but not limited to: • Leading, supervising & directing a team of 23 national tradesmen & 4 supervisors onsite; • Utilising high level cross-cultural communication skills to provide coaching & training in the maintenance of site equipment; • Overseeing areas responsible for Pre-Ox, CCD, NCA (including sea water & raw water pumps); • Liaising with electrical & instrumentation maintenance professionals on site; • Planning & organizing appropriate tank refurbishment programs; • Working with the planning department to produce capable weekly schedules for team execution; • Developing & implementing SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) & standard jobs for workgroup; • Encouraging & promoting the companies safety systems & culture; • Reviewing & amending JSA’s & Zero3’s as required; • Engaging contractors to supplement our team’s numbers & for specialists works as required; • Overseeing procurement of spares using Newcrest Systems & use CMMS SAP; &• Liaising with OEM’s & other vendors outside of PNG to arrange parts and specialist labourers to work onsite as required.

Reporting to the Surface Maintenance Superintendent, responsibilities were inclusive of but not limited to: • Leading a multi-trade maintenance team (6 permanent tradesmen & apprentices plus contractors); • Developing & implementing strategies for maintenance continuous improvement across the site; • Regular liaison with site maintenance superintendent regarding labour requirements for planned working schedules (or any unplanned work that arises);• Providing relief support as a maintenance planner as required; • Chairing toolbox meetings, facilitating morning pre-start meetings & reviewing JSA’s & SOP’s; • Optimising & driving safety whilst building strong & successful work crews to achieve project objectives; • Ensuring all work adheres to safety & quality management systems in line with Australian Standards; • Attending weekly production planning meetings with operations and maintenance personnel; • Maintaining an active involvement in various projects across the site; • Maintaining pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, BIOX circuit & CIL circuits; • Utilising PRONTO computer system to an advanced level; • Contribute as a member of the emergency response team & perseverance safety committee.

(Formerly ADI Limited) Reporting to the Small Arms Production Manager, responsibilities were inclusive of but not limited to: • Delivering tasks as a maintenance fitter in the high explosives area• Responsible for maintaining production equipment, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement & executing work in the in the Forge Team; • Liaising with TPM Coordinator to implement TPM philosophy in collaboration with production teams; • Assuming role as Team Leader in the cartridge assembly and packaging areas, leading & supervising a team of production employees & tradespeople to perform tasks as directed; • Ensuring production levels & deadlines are met on a day-to-day basis; • Liaising with suppliers & internal customers to contribute as a member of the training committee; &• Performing duties as OH&S representative, attending all committee meetings & required.
