Senior Systems EngineerRegent Feb 2023 - Dec 2023North Kingstown , Ri, UsAs human-machine interface lead, my team is responsible for the end-end experience of operating a seaglider. This includes all hardware and software aspects of the cockpit (displays and controls). I build and maintain our custom visualization (game engine), which is coupled to our 6-DOF engineering simulator to create immersive operator and passenger experiences. -
Test Operations LeadRegent Feb 2022 - Feb 2023North Kingstown , Ri, UsFor one incredible year, I led test planning, on-water test execution, remote piloting, debrief, and data analysis for REGENT's 1/4 scale seaglider, "Squire." I served as Test Director of 10-20 personnel conducting live on-water demonstrations for customers, investors, and other VIP stakeholders.By necessity, I architected and led the development of REGENT’s test data repository, visualization suite, and live test telemetry infrastructure. This delivered decision-quality information to the same-day crew debrief and reduced test-fix-test cycle time to consistently <24 hr. -
Staff Systems EngineerAurora Flight Sciences Corporation Oct 2018 - Jan 2022Manassas, Va, UsI was fortunate to work on many different programs at Aurora with world-class engineers! As Integration Lead and Test Director of a gov't autonomy development program, I planned and led iterative test campaigns and a capstone customer demo with multiple Group 4/5 UAVs and several additional aircraft operating in very close proximity, with 0 mishaps.I pitched, co-founded, and led a $1M/8 pers IRAD team to build tools to perform lab integration and test of autonomous collaborative multi-UAV systems. (Aurora's Advanced Teaming Integration Lab)As Chief Engineer for the development of an integratedpackage, we demonstrated how the Boeing CH-47 Chinook and V-22 Osprey could perform missions in Degraded Visual Environments. This included prototype hardware integration onto Aurora's UH-1 testbed, followed by a flight test campaign that included a ride-along customer demo.As Chief Engineer for the Army's Air-Launched Effects (ALE) collaborative small UAS program, I led collaborative MBSE, CONOPS modelling and simulation, hardware/software design through agile buildup, test, and demonstration. I brought this experience to perform the conceptual design of an onboard software abstraction layer to enable scalable Manned-Unmanned Teaming for the Boeing MQ-25 Stingray. -
Director, Production OperationsXl Fleet Electrification Feb 2018 - Aug 2018Boston, UsAt XL, I worked with internal teams and external installation partners to optimize production operations for a specialized hybrid-electric powertrain solution. I coordinated production scheduling, and conducted training, certification, and periodic audits for 25 partner install facilities across North America. Working with the engineering team, I developed and documented new vehicle installation procedures, and then conducted hands-on or web-based training with technicians in the field. From 2016-2017, XL's annual production volume grew by over 200%. We successfully launched hybrid electric conversions on four new vehicle platforms from prototype to full production, and attained Ford Electrified Qualified Vehicle Modifier and NY State DoT certification. -

Assistant Director Of Operations, Integrated Planning & ExecutionUsaf Weapons School May 2014 - Mar 2016The 14th Weapons Squadron runs Air Force Special Operations Command’s most advanced tactical flying and leadership program. Weapons School students enter the program as experienced Instructor aviators. We taught them to lead cross-functional planning, execution, and debriefing of complex joint-force missions. This involved classroom, hands-on (flying), and mentoring on a masters-level research paper. I was also responsible for coordinating off-site logistics for the deployment and operations of multiple diverse aircraft. -
Special Operations Instructor PilotUnited States Air Force Apr 2007 - Mar 2016Randolph Afb, Tx, UsI piloted the MC-130H Combat Talon II throughout my Air Force career. The MC-130H is a heavily modified C-130 with a terrain-following Radar, suite of defensive electronic countermeasures, and both give & take aerial refueling equipment. This enables very low altitude flight, at night, and through clouds (zero visibility). That said..."Humans are more important than hardware." -
Wing Executive OfficerUnited States Air Force Jan 2013 - May 2014Randolph Afb, Tx, UsHurlburt Field is the 2nd largest Air Force base (by population).
