Component evaluation (specialising mainly in CRTs, transformers and deflection circuitry components) as part of the Design Department for televisions at Toshiba Consumer Electronics in Plymouth, England. I was responsible for the evaluation and introduction of potential new components for Toshiba televisions, liaising with and being responsible to the Senior Manager of the Components Engineering Department in Fukaya, Japan. The role required negotiating performance specifications with suppliers and visiting their factories (Europe-wide) to evaluate production and QA processes.Prior to that, I was a Product Engineer in the Product Engineering Department for television design and production in Plymouth. For a period of time I also worked as an engineer in the RF Tuners department.
