Short term contract project management role for Cassellie, a leading bathroom products supplier, to provide a basic project management structure and optimise plan layouts for a new warehouse fit out and relocation.

Extended interim role providing consultancy and project management services within the Logistics Department of AKW Medi-Care, the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of accessible bathrooms and kitchens for the elderly and disabled. - Developed and successfully project managed a major warehouse optimisation initiative which improved process flows, layout, health and safety, and resulted in a 40% increase in pick rates. - Introduced Business Continuity Management to the organisation, implementing business impact analysis, risk assessments and business continuity plans in line with ISO 22301 standards. - Specified a process optimisation model for the Kitchens business, involving new design software, improved integration of existing systems and the application of MRP. - Implemented collaborative software to provide transport KPI reporting, visibility of foreign exchange impacts on supplier spend and numerous other applications to improve productivity.

Interim assignment to manage major change projects and to provide project governance and structure within the Logistics Department at Halfords. - Programme managed the transition from in-house to a 3PL distribution model and the change of IT and distribution centre shift patterns to support this. Benefits forecast at £4m per annum.- Successfully managed distribution centre infrastructure projects to increase pick efficiency and generate savings of £500k per annum. Works included reconfiguration of racking / shelving systems and the installation of double deck trailer loading lifts.- Instigated the use of cloud based project management software enabling collaboration across project teams.
