Responsible for ensuring the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVACequipment within the Data Center. Daily responsibilities include:* Monitor HVAC, Diesel Generators, power and electricity in the data center. (Includes 500kw Cummins DieselGenerators, APC (schneider Electric) PDUs, battery racks and UPSs, E-Mon D-Mon energy monitoring andLiebert (HVAC units)* Perform basic support concepts such as ticketing systems, monthly maintenance, root cause analysis, andtask prioritization.* Work on-call and a rotating schedule when required* Perform ALL cabling requests and needs in the Data Center (Copper Cat-5 and Fiber Optic).* Responsible for vaulting and off-site storage/pick-up of the back-up and disaster recovery tapes.* Troubleshoot corporate on-site network issues dealing with network servers and appliances.* Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.* Perform first level trouble-shooting for facility and rack level events.* Work on-call and a rotating schedule, when required.* Head point of contact for managing and maintaining the corporate phone system (Avaya VOIP phones). Thisincludes, but not limited to, assigning extensions for new employees, editing and or changing extensions andvoicemail, removing extensions, and creating call groups.

As a Test Engineer I was responsible for testing specific parts of a program or software. Responsibilities included quality assurance testing, smoke testing, functionality testing, compatability testing, and basic troubleshooting of the program or software.

I was a substitue teacher when I was home from breaks at CNU. Basic resposibilities included following the lesson plans provided from the teacher, ensure student behavior and safety. I also worked for the IT department at Fauquier High School. There I helped set-up and monitor computer labs and work stations for Virginia SOL testing.
