Giftbox Boutique, New Zealand's largest and most popular gift box company was started in late 2016, but the journey to opening started in 2013. After some serious brainstorming we settled on Giftbox Boutique for the name, and from there we spent countless evenings after work conceptualizing the business and it's products. We shelved the idea in 2014, we were time poor and busy with other work and life commitments, a wedding to plan and 2 kittens to look after had stretched us and we felt we weren't ready to take the next step just yet. In late 2015 we started seriously building the concept back up, making a few small changes and finally not long after our wedding in 2016 we were ready to start the business, but first, we had to move cities and start building a house. By August 2016 we were living with Katie's mum and we were feverishly building the website and doing photography. By early November we were ready and we put the site live. Since then, we have lived and breathed Giftbox Boutique and the team has grown from Katie and I, to over 50 at Christmas and 16 full time throughout the rest of the year. We are really proud of our team, the work they do, the service they give and the total commitment they do it with. We wouldn't be where we are today without them.In 2021 and 2022 we were entrants in the Deloitte Fast 50, fastest growing companies in New Zealand, both years we placed, 21st and 25th on the list. We were super proud of achieving one of our business goals, not just once, but twice. Our hope is to grow Giftbox Boutique's reputation and make it a household name for gifting for generations to come.
