As Managing Director of WILDStudio, Andrew concentrates his energy on improving open space in Australia’s urban environments and contributing to the vitality of city life. This has been demonstrated throughout his career on many award-winning projects including the South Bank Institute of Technology and Townsville Riverway. Andrew also project directed several iconic urban developments including SW1, the Petrie Terrace Barracks, and the recent Flinders Street Revitalisation in Townsville, all of which reflect a global movement towards sustainable landscape architecture.Studying at the Queensland University of Technology, Andrew received the Australian Institute of Landscape Architect’s Karl Langer Award upon graduation in 1992. His professional experience began in Brisbane over 20 years ago and since then, Andrew has also worked in design offices in Tokyo and in Vienna.Andrew is an active member and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects and a regular guest critic at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. In his new role at WILDStudio, Andrew is committed to helping create some of Australia’s most resilient and memorable urban environments.
