I have worked for Breckland for a number of years starting as a district officer dealing in nuisance issues.I was made up to senior EHO in the late 1990s with supervisory responsibility for the pest and dog control services (4 members of staff) as well as retaining my nuisance control work.In 2003 I was appointed Principal EHO managing a large team of Environmental protection officers covering the functions of nuisance, private water supplies, air quality, LAPPC, contaminated land, pest control and dog control.The team has gone through significant change in recent years which I have overseen and worked on including the contracting out of the pest and dog control services.The environmental health team at Breckland Council has recently been linked with colleagues at South Holland DC in Spalding. In this new structure I am now a team leader at Breckland covering the same core environmental health areas as described above, working with managers and and team leaders in South Holland
