Responsible for the realisation of the Real Consulting Partnership Ltd Business Development Plan – Asia/Pacific. The role included the establishment of Real Consulting and the securing of sustainable business opportunities, specifically in Australia. The role required the delivery of key strategic objectives and business development priorities including the establishment of the Real brand, creation of business systems and process to support a new business; identifying income-generating business opportunities; liaison with major national and international clients in relation to commissions and strategy development; leading training and conference workshops for public and private sector organisations; providing advice and guidance to corporate clients on programs of workforce development, corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

Responsibility for developing and coordinating projects/initiatives responding to the urban regeneration and economic development needs of Kent Thameside (Thames Gateway). The role demanded a strategic approach to business development in the context of regional and national policy. Principle functions included direct liaison with external organisations and agencies to develop projects that were demand-led with an emphasis on mutually beneficial, collaborative solutions. Key achievements:• taking the concept of The Learning Shop, Bluewater from vision, through development to delivery. The Learning Shop continues to attract financial support from the European Union, Central Government and regionally-specific funding, as well as major private sector investment;• effectively and efficiently managing and brokering the North West Kent Partnership, a regeneration partnership that catalysed 16 agencies around a strategy of ‘local jobs for local people’ in the UK's largest urban regeneration zone;• delivering initiatives in response to commissions from the then Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for learning and urban regeneration specifically relating to sustainable communities.
