Principal EngineerEmas Group Jan 2014 - Feb 2016Singapore, Singapore, Sg• Lead Structural Engineer for PLEM and ILS design of Noble Energy’s Rio Grande Loop (Big Bend and Dantzler fields). Lead the structural engineers in the design of 3 PLET designs and 1 ILS design for a total of 8 structures. Pipeline size is 8” with 12” outer insulating pipe (PIP). Structures were required to pass through the moonpool onboard the Lewek Constellation. Folding mudmats were required. Sliding mechanisms were incorporated to account for the expected pipeline walking/expansion. Independent 1st and 2nd end PLEM designs were created.• Lead Structural Engineer for 2nd end PLEM and ILS design of Noble Energy’s Gunflint field development. Lead the structural engineers in the design of 1 PLET designs and 2 ILS design for a total of 5 structures. Pipeline size is 8” with 12” outer insulating pipe (PIP). Structures were required to pass through the moonpool onboard the Lewek Constellation. Folding mudmats were required. Sliding mechanisms were incorporated to account for the expected pipeline walking/expansion.• Structural Engineer for the design of the Apollo Test PLET of which a top-tension of 632 Tonnes was held. This set an industry pipelay record in overall top-tension during an install. -
Subsea Structures EngineerJ P Kenny Mar 2012 - Jan 2014Aberdeen, Gb• Assigned to various construction projects including Lucius, Heidelberg, Mozambique, and Thunder Horse.• Lead Structural Engineer for PLET and PLEM design of Anadarko’s Lucius Field Development. Collaborated with specialized subsea structures engineers and interfaced with project team and client to produce five (5) designs for a total of twenty-three (23) subsea structures. Pipeline sizes include 6”, 8”, and 16”. Structures were required to be capable of passing through a workstation of limited dimensions. However, foldable mudmats were not used per installer’s request. Sliding mechanisms were incorporated to account for the expected pipeline walking/expansion. All structures are capable of first or second end installation.• Developed a swiveling installation interface, complete with capture device, for installation of riser base PLEMs atop suction piles for Anadarko’s Lucius Field Development.• Lead Structural Engineer for FEED of PLET and PLEM designs of Anadarko’s Mozambique LNG Project. Designed three modular structures and mudmats to accommodate 86 structures of varying type and pipe diameter. Structure types included single hub and dual hub PLETs and single hub and dual hub In-Line-Tees. Pipe diameters include 10”, 14”, 16”, and 22”. Structures were required to be capable of passing through a workstation of limited dimensions. Therefore, foldable mudmats were used. Sliding mechanisms were incorporated to account for the expected pipeline walking/expansion. All structures are capable of first or second end installation.• Working on hydrate remediation campaign as lead for temporary structures for BP Thunder Horse. Collaborating with DeepSea Technologies on their design and construction of the Intervention Connector Assembly (ICA) to be placed onto the P 41W Manifold. The ICA will act as the injection and vacuum port for hydrate remediation operations. -
