Every day when I wake up I am amazed at this wonderful life. I am a husband for over ten years and the father of two of the most beautiful human beings I have ever met. This is what continues to fuel me.I went to school for computer science but was lured into advertising early in my career. I started a magazine called OnTrial, which was a publication for the accused. It served to educate them about the criminal justice system and how the process worked. I was extremely passionate about this project because it helped people that were normally thrown into a huge system that chewed them up and consumed them with no way to get out. This amazing power of education through design taught me the power of media. Eventually, I went on to work in other publications like Flavor Magazine, Destination San Diego and Risen Magazine. I fell into digital marketing by accident. But it was truly amazing how it happened. One of my magazine advertisers asked me if I knew anyone who did website design. I did not but told them that I would take a stab at it. With my computer science background and the loose structure of HTML and CSS, I taught myself those languages in a couple of weeks. By the end of the month, I had created my first website. I then started getting calls from some pretty large companies throughout the country to help them with their online presence. I did not realize that this first client was one of the top 20 restaurants in the country. They are still a client today.For the past 15 years I have built an amazing digital marketing company and recently acquired an award-winning advertising agency. This has brought me back full circle to my roots in advertising. It has also woken up that amazing passion for telling a story through media. Again I am amazed at this wonderful life.
