I began as a Flow Team Member unloading and stocking freight. Shortly thereafter I received training as a part-time Backroom Team Member in the stockroom where I developed the skills necessary to safely, accurately, and efficiently store merchandise. In addition, I became familiar with the processes and power equipment necessary to maintaining a healthy stockroom and enhancing my utility. After 6 months with Target I was promoted into the Reverse Logistics Team Member role. In this new role I learned how to process inbound and outbound vendor product as well as Guest orders; properly handle environmentally sensitive materials, unsalable food product, and other damaged merchandise; safely stage and document recyclable materials and overstock items for shipment; process product recalls; maintain clean and thorough records of business, vendor initiated product returns, and bills of lading; and foster positive relationships with vendors and donation partners through open communication.I continue to support the store outside my role by assisting the Inbound Team during freight unloads; partnering with the Property Management Lead regarding stockroom safety, equipment, and functionality concerns; and maintaining a healthy stockroom through audits and handling the storage of bulk freight.

As a mechanical engineering intern I had the privilege of working with a great team of interns and graduate engineers from various technical backgrounds. I also had the opportunity to build relationships with multiple business partners across numerous manufacturing industries.I conducted thermal testing and analyses using MATLAB on a host of heat sinks and insulation materials that were embedded within a prototype device which permitted the determination of the most effective combination of heat sink geometry and insulator; created 3D CAD models and the requisite 2D diagrams of prototype and concept components in SolidWorks; constructed various device elements using a combination of 3D printing, CNC machining, and hand tools; and established new relationships with numerous component manufacturers and service providers while advancing existing partnerships.
