With my background in structural wood building components and building design I used this knowledge and experience to develop the patented Hobbs Vertical Insulated Concrete Form Wall System (Hobbs VICF) in 2005. The Hobbs VICF system was developed to solve the many inherent flaws and installation challenges of the competitive ICF "block" type forms. Our flagship "Contour Wall" design is engineered and uses 40% less concrete, provides +R30 insulation and installs 50% faster than traditional ICF block systems. The Hobbs VICF system is disaster resistant since the core of the system is reinforced concrete and our customers typically save between 50-70% on their heating and cooling costs compared to traditional methods! The Hobbs Vertical ICF system is sold and delivered throughout North America. I provide Hobbs VICF installation training and project consulting along with custom plan design services, as well as structural consulting.
