Andrew Jorge Pla is a Software Developer, Lighting designer and production systems architect based out of Columbus Ohio. In 2020 he completed degrees in Information Systems and Lighting Design at The Ohio State University. Throughout his career Andrew has worked in many different aspects of the production world. He started his career in a high school theater program where he found his love for lighting design. Since then Andrew has moved on to design for ballets, concerts, theaters, corporate events and night clubs across the country. Beyond lighting design Andrew works as an entertainment systems architect creating custom solutions for many different applications. Whether it be media servers to power massive video projects or mesh networks to enable crazy time coded shows, there is no task too large. His most recent works include Designing and programming the makeover of FWD Day + Nightclub which is the premiere night club in Cleveland Ohio as well as working on a series of music festivals most notably Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Outside of the production world Andrew also works as a Full Stack Software Developer. Having had a passion for code since a young age, software has always been apart of his life. Andrew started his journey in code in the 6th grade building mods and plugins for Minecraft servers in Java which he learned in summer courses at Case Western. Andrew has since used his skills for numerous other projects including virtual event venues, live streaming platforms, AI based ticketing platforms, a live analytics program for Tesla Cars (MyTeslaStats) and so many more. Andrew is certified in both Azure and AWS cloud platforms giving him a great background in modern cloud technologies.
