Using my technical background I offer an informed, unusual approach to the typical wholesale channel partner manager role. My partners benefit from my engineering experience as much as I benefit from theirs. New role within Installations department, specialising in planning/designing/implementing network infrastructure for complex LAN installations and large multi-site customers.

Currently working in the Installations team as a Voice Engineer, covering the whole of Scotland and England too. Liaising closely with Sales and Provisioning, it is my job to survey a customer site pre-install, gather the connectivity/customer requirements for their hosted phone system, put together call routing plans/documentation, build the setup and install the connectivity solution and phones. I also provide admin and end user training.I do work with the Support and Technical teams as and when required (on-site engineer, installing/swapping hardware (routers/switches), making configuration changes locally and also helping senior engineers if necessary).

Keeping the service desk under control and generally offering I.T support and maintaining the systems, network and phones. Responsible for the running of the Dundee, Kirkcaldy and Inverness branches and help out with Glasgow and Edinburgh too. Currently more involved with networking and (Windows) servers now as well. I was made lead administrator in implementing a new SaaS ITIL-based service desk system (BMC RemedyForce) and SSO for it (OneLogin). This required me to have a good understanding of ITIL and the best practices required to offer IT as an efficient service within Digby Brown. It has now been implemented very successfully and I am extremely proud. I am also the system administrator for this product and am continually improving and developing it to suit our needs.

Based in head office I assisted in system administration, providing all levels of support to 12 offices along with my manager. Also undertook Sharepoint dev, testing new technologies before implementation, devising solutions etc
