Having completed almost a year as a graduate, I have recently been promoted to Civil Engineer. With the experience gained over my first year at R+R I have developed the necessary skills to effectively manage projects, attend site inspections independently and deliver efficient civil and stormwater design documents for large clients for a variety of developments.

Richmond + Ross has been the foundation for my growth as a civil engineer. As a graduate I have received a wide variety of training in various software and divisions of civil engineering. Some of those include stormwater management plans, water sensitive urban design and TUFLOW flood modelling. Such experience has been vital for my early growth from a technical and professional point of view.

I worked at PPH during my studies and in my spare time, delivering quality customer service and beverages for nearly 2 years. I was able to develop my problem solving skills, my communication and worked in a strong team environment to deliver the best service possible

It is at ACOR Consultants where I found a home for my own personal development. For the majority of 2022, I worked at ACOR as a senior intern and undergraduate engineer, and grew into a professional engineer. I established myself as a valuable team member who is reliable and is always willing to take on new challenges and tasks. During my time some of the highlights included received internal recognition from my boss for Stormwater System design using DRAINS and MUSIC and being trusted with the responsibility to set up and run a fire trail rectification and culvert design project for an Explosive Ordnance Depot for the defence force. A large part of my development came from attending on-site inspections alone for the concrete company Goodman to complete pavement rectification reports and completing drafting and inspection work as a Water Servicing Coordinator (WSC) for Sydney Water

Mance Arraj was the perfect start up civil engineering internship for me where I learned the basics of CAD and stormwater software. By the end I was proficient in CAD and developed both my communication and collaborative skills in a professional environment. Highlights included completed drafting and engineering design using AutoCAD and DRAINS, Attending and taking notes for on-site meeting with clients with my co-workers, working in a collaborative environment with professional engineers in my field and completing administration work and other jobs around the office.

Having finished high school and entering University, RWC was the perfect place to gain valuable experience in customer service in a collaborative environment. Flexible hours meant that I was able to fit in overnight shifts with my university schedule.
