Throughout my half year as an intern for the NH State Parks, I created a blog to increase website traffic and promote use of state-owned parks and recreational areas. I was able to visit several NH State parks and participated in activities such as hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing, camping, and snow grooming in order to gather writing material for blog: http://blog.nhstateparks.org/author/andrew-keohan/At the conclusion of my internship, I built and conducted a marketing survey for college students to understand their recreational interests. I then collected and presented results to Park and Recreation management. The marketing information I presented turned out to be very helpful to the NH Division of Economic Development for understanding the 18-29 year old demographic in regards to their recreational interests. This internship was independent and strenghtened my writing, communication, and marketing skills.

During my time working at Church Landing (one of the four Inns), I supported facility services and obtained basic knowledge across the complete scope of hotel operations and management, from food service to front desk operations. I also worked extensively with wedding coordinators, clergies, florists, caterers, musicians and decorators to ensure the success of large party events. I migrated from an unpaid internship to a part-time, paid position in the summer of 2012.
