I started in the power generation industry directly out of college and have been there ever since. My main job is Instrumentation and Controls Technician but have acquired many skills beyond that title. I have worked on everything from small air-operated valves to the main components of GE 7FA gas turbines. My degree offered electronic circuit design and troubleshooting which allows me to make cheap repairs to components without the need of purchasing new parts. I also have an I.T. back ground that has helped me become the plant local administrator. PLC hardware and logic design along with DCS logic and HMI design is also part of my responsibility. I like hard work and try to be as versatile as possible by constantly learning new skills.
