Andrew “Drew” Ross is the Chief of Staff for United States Representative Michael McCaul (TX-10). Drew handles a variety of policy issues and constituent needs that arise in the district, DC, and the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and builds relationships in and between those entities. He also directly supervises up to eighteen full-time employees; advises and strategizes on key votes and positions. Also responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performances; addressing complaints; and resolving problems that arise within the Member's office. Before being named as Chief of Staff, he also served as Deputy Chief of Staff, District Director, Deputy District Director and Field Director for Representative McCaul. Prior to joining Representative McCaul’s staff, he worked for the Office of United States Representative Austin Scott, Office of United States Senator Johnny Isakson, GEMA/Homeland Security, Office of the Governor Nathan Deal, United States Department of Agriculture-ARS Division and interned in several other congressional offices. Recently, he was selected to represent Congressman McCaul in Germany, Canada, Taiwan and Qatar on Congressional STAFFDEL’s. He also had the honor of being selected to participate in HSI’s (Homeland Security of Investigations) first Citizen Academy in Austin, Texas. Upon completion of the academy, he was selected by his peers to speak on the first graduating class (commissioned in 2019). He is a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Agricultural Leadership degrees from the University of Georgia in 2010 and 2012. Currently, Drew and his wife Sarah reside in Bastrop, Texas.
