About Andrew Lanxon
As an award-winning journalist at CNET.com I chiefly cover the mobile industry, from the latest product launches and industry trends through to opinion-based columns that lean on my 13 years of experience in technology journalism. While I'm employed primarily as a journalist in my role as Editor at Large, I also write, host, produce and edit my own videos for CNET including video reviews for our multi-million subscriber YouTube channel and long form video essays on topics ranging from mobile and photography through to electric vehicles and even whisky production. Working on projects as script writer, presenter, video producer and editor has given me an enormous amount of understanding about the challenges of video production within a media organisation and the best ways to work effectively under strict time pressures. Alongside my written and video work, I also lead CNET's photography for Europe, producing photos to illustrate our news and feature content as well as shooting product photography from my home studio. My aim in my product photography has been to create exceptionally eye-catching, commercial-standard images that help elevate CNET's review content above its competition. My photography is frequently shortlisted for major industry awards and I'm always excited to find ways to take my skills in visual storytelling further.
